We’re T&L Moling Contractors, specialists in trenchless water supply pipe replacement across Frimley and the GU16 postcode, which also takes in Frimley Green, Mytchett and Deepcut. Much of the housing here went up during Frimley’s mid-20th-century suburban expansion, and a good number of those homes still run on their original metal or lead supply pipes.

Frimley grew in two waves. The railway-era village expanded from the 1850s onward once the line to Ascot and Aldershot arrived, then the town really filled out through the interwar and post-war decades, a phase reinforced when Frimley Park Hospital opened in 1974. The result is street after street of suburban semis and detached houses across Heatherside, Parkside, Frimley Green, Mytchett and Deepcut, much of it now reaching the age where original lead and galvanised supply pipes are due for replacement. As WIAPS-registered moling specialists, Frimley sits well within our coverage, close to jobs we carry out around Camberley and Farnborough.
Whichever part of GU16 you’re in, the method is the same. We dig two small access pits, one near the boundary stop tap and one by the property, then drive an impact mole through the ground between them and pull a new MDPE supply pipe through behind it. Your driveway, lawn and any paving stay intact, and most residential replacements are finished in a single day.

Paul was great. Fitted me in last minute. Really professional and personable. Very good price and very efficient. All done in 5 hours. Nothing was too much hassle even when I changed my mind for the stop cock location after the pipe was already run. They also ran a temporary connection back to the current mains water location under the stairs as this will be relocated by my plumber at a later date to the new stop cock location. They even left my front garden tidier than when they started :) Would recommend highly. I received my certificate of install the same day and they can connect directly to the water meter as they are WIAPS approved so no need to wait for thames water final connections.+12Posted on Google![]()

We had an external lead water pipe that needed replacing, found this company via Google search and they got back to our web form submission super quickly to agree on a quote and timing. Arrived on time, completed the repairs, put everything back in place (patio tiles etc) meticulously once the works were completed and provided the works certificate promptly. Thanks again to the team at T&L.Posted on Google![]()

Minimal mess & no trenches

Friendly, professional service

Moling is a trenchless way of installing a new water supply pipe along the route of an old one. Frimley sits on free-draining Bagshot Sand, the acidic heathland soil typical of the Surrey Heath country, with the land sloping from the Chobham Ridges down toward the Blackwater valley. On that kind of ground a traditional open trench means lifting drives, paths and lawns and then reinstating sandy spoil afterwards, which is slow and messy. With moling we excavate two small pits, one near the boundary stopcock and one where the pipe enters the property, then drive an impact mole between them and pull a new MDPE pipe in behind it. The old lead pipe is disconnected at both ends and left in the ground. The route in between is never opened up, so across Frimley’s suburban front gardens and block-paved drives the surface is left exactly as we found it.

Frimley’s clean water is supplied by South East Water, and it runs hard, with local figures for the Camberley and Frimley area cited at around 280 ppm. That hardness comes from deeper chalk and Greensand aquifer sources rather than the sandy heath at the surface. The lead in tap water comes from the old pipe itself, dissolving into water that has been standing overnight in an ageing lead or galvanised line, so Frimley’s older supply lines are worth replacing sooner rather than later.
Most Frimley homeowners get in touch after one of these:
