We’re T&L Moling Contractors, WIAPS-registered specialists in trenchless water supply pipe replacement across Addlestone and the wider KT15 postcodes, including New Haw, Woodham and Row Town. The town’s mix of pre-war terraces, post-war semis and newer town-centre flats means a lot of properties are still on their original lead or metal supply pipes.

Addlestone is a north Surrey commuter town with a layered housing history, and that shapes the kind of work we do here. Victorian and Edwardian terraces sit near the centre around Chertsey Road and Woburn Hill, while the 1950s and 1960s commuter boom filled out New Haw and Woodham with suburban semis along Woodham Lane. More recently, the Addlestone ONE regeneration added a layer of town-centre flats. Many of the older homes across KT15 still have lead supply lines in the ground. Addlestone sits within the area we cover, alongside nearby places we serve such as Woking, West Byfleet and Guildford.
Wherever you are in the town, our process is the same. We dig two small access pits, one near the boundary stop tap and one near the property, then drive an impact mole between them and pull a new MDPE supply pipe through behind it. Your driveway, lawn, patio and any paving stay intact, and most Addlestone jobs are completed in a single day.

Paul was great. Fitted me in last minute. Really professional and personable. Very good price and very efficient. All done in 5 hours. Nothing was too much hassle even when I changed my mind for the stop cock location after the pipe was already run. They also ran a temporary connection back to the current mains water location under the stairs as this will be relocated by my plumber at a later date to the new stop cock location. They even left my front garden tidier than when they started :) Would recommend highly. I received my certificate of install the same day and they can connect directly to the water meter as they are WIAPS approved so no need to wait for thames water final connections.+12Posted on Google![]()

Highly experienced and friendly company, a pleasure to deal with. We had an external lead water pipe that needed replacing, found this company via Google search and they got back to our web form submission super quickly to agree on a quote and timing. Arrived on time, completed the repairs, put everything back in place (patio tiles etc) meticulously once the works were completed and provided the works certificate promptly. Thanks again to the team at T&L.Posted on Google![]()

Minimal mess & no trenches

Friendly, professional service

Trenchless moling is a no-dig method of replacing a buried water supply pipe, and it suits Addlestone’s ground particularly well. The town sits on London Clay overlain by Thames river-terrace sands and gravels, so the soil shifts from heavy, slow-draining clay to free-draining gravel within a short distance, often with high groundwater close to the surface. Open trenching through that mix is slow and messy. With moling, we excavate two small pits (one near the boundary stop tap, one where the pipe enters the property), drive an impact mole through the ground between them, and pull a new MDPE pipe in behind it. The old lead pipe is disconnected at both ends and left in the ground, and the route in between is undisturbed. On Addlestone’s clay-and-gravel terrain, leaving that ground intact is a real advantage over a full open dig across your front garden.

Addlestone is supplied by Affinity Water, and the water here is hard, around 255 mg/l as calcium carbonate. The lead in tap water comes from the old pipe itself, dissolving into water that has been standing overnight in an ageing lead line. Combined with the town’s stock of pre-war and post-war housing, that means a fair number of original lead supply lines across KT15 are still in service.
